From Where it Hides

In his last weeks of life, a man embarks into the deep forest to confront death face-to-face. What he finds in the depths of an abandoned mine shaft may be more than he was looking for.

During the waning days of the COVID lockdown, director Quinn Halleck, struck with the urge to create, approached me to produce a horror short inspired by a poem. Working within all the normal restrictions thrown at you during the course of a short film, we also had to deal with new, rapidly changing COVID protocols. I managed to maximize what we could make, including multiple days on location and recreating a mineshaft on a sound stage. Even with all the restrictions I truly believe we managed to create something spectacular.

My responsibilities included raising money, budgeting, scheduling, securing locations, hiring crew, planning all the logistics, implementing union standard COVID protocols, and communicating with SAG
